Pacific House

137 Henry Street
Stamford, CT 06902

Thirty years ago the shelter was created in response to the area's growing homeless population. Today, Pacific House emergency men's shelter has an expanded mission and progressive programs and is an innovator in transforming lives. Thanks to our donors and volunteers who support our work, clients are able to overcome their struggles and go on to lead self-sufficient and productive lives. In addition to providing a safe environment, meals, and programs such as Recovery, Workforce Development, case management, job and life skills, we develop and manage deeply affordable permanent supportive housing in Fairfield County. We turn away no one and each year the shelter helps 400+ men and young adults with shelter, meals and programs. By the end of 2017 our housing properties will provide 94 formerly homeless individuals with a place to call their very own home. A new initiative, the Young Adult Program, has an emphasis on filling the gap with assistance for young men ages 18 - 24. Giving Day funds will positively impact the most vulnerable in our community and help clients find independence and success in their lives.
